Ivy+ vs. COVID-19 Charity Tournament Stream

In April 2020, Yale Esports organized a League of Legends Charity stream in support of the United Nations’ COVID-19 relief fund. Teams from the 8 Ivy League schools, MIT, and Stanford participated in the tournament, and in just 12 hours, Yale Esports managed to raise over $16,000. Special thanks to sponsors—TSM, Team Liquid, and Flyquest—and generous donors for supporting the cause. Check out the Tiltify page here and the videos of the event here.

Study Breaks

During midterm season and reading period, Yale Esports host study breaks where students can unwind over games and social activities. In the past, study breaks have taken place in the Branford God Quad and the Watson Center. Usually 2-3 Study Breaks take place each year.

Smash Bros. Events

Similar to study breaks, Yale Esports hosts 2-3 in-person Super Smash Bros. tournaments each academic year. These events typically support Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, with entrants for both games competing in a double elimination tournament for cash prizes.
